Grandma Joyce's Applesauce Jello

Ingredients:

1 large box of strawberry jello
1 jar of applesauce -- enough for 2 cups of applesauce (room temperature)
red hot cinnamon candies
water

Boil water that the recipe calls for on the jello package. 2 cups. While the water is heating in pan throw in a handful of the cinnamon candies. The candies will melt while the water is boiling. When the candies are melted and the water is boiled add the box of jello and let it dissolve in the pan stirring to dissolve it.

Pour the mixture into the serving casserole or bowl you are going to use. Instead of adding the cold water like the box says, add 2 cups of applesauce. Stir jello mixture until the sauce is dissolved.

Put in refrigerator until the jello is set. This is easy to double or one large and one small box together. Just use proportions of the jello box, never using the cold water amounts only the applesauce instead..

Serve.
